SUMMARY:SME Centre Workshop Series (Part 2): Market Opportunities Across Southeast Asia - Thailand
DESCRIPTION:The SME Centre@ASME\, in collaboration with Orissa International\, is organising the second installment of a 4-part workshop series to help companies explore market opportunities across Southeast Asia. In this session\, the focus will be on Thailand. \nWith a GDP of over US$500 million and a population of almost 70 million people\, Thailand is the second largest economy in Southeast Asia. It is also one of the top 4 export bases in ASEAN. The country is the world’s largest supplier of food and agricultural products such as rice and natural rubber. The country is also in the top 5 export categories for motor cars\, parts and accessories\, electronics\, rubber products\, and polymers of ethylene\, propylene. \nThailand has also been emphasizing its digital development for a number of years through its focus on the Thailand 4.0 economic model\, which seeks to move the country past previous economic development models which focused on agriculture\, light industry and advanced industry.
